Yang Yi Xin was born in 1947 and is 72 years old this year. He lived in China for the first 24 years of his life (7 years in Hong Kong and 17 years in the United States) After returning to China, he spent another 24 years studying Chinese embroidery art, which has a history of thousands of years. As he developed a new embroidery method and unique expression style, he worked on perfecting his photography works. He named the embroidery art he created: “art on the tip” as “silk needle painting”. This is the art form pioneered by Yang Yi Xin. The "silk needle painting" has a close relationship with Chinese traditional embroidery, but there are also several differences.
